The Timeless Design of the Resort

The architecture and interior design of Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island blend luxury with earth tones, artwork, the finest furnishings, and tropical views that reflect a true sense of place, with the iconic Waldorf Astoria sundial clock as a central element of time. The sundial clock was inspired by the Moulin Kopra, a Creole container previously used on the island. The resort’s interiors are inspired by coconut palms, while the cascading curtains of the lobby, made with shells, form a scenic backdrop.

Inspired by the shell of the hawksbill turtle, the resort’s villas consist of faceted shapes that fold into large airy canopies. Each villa is designed with a fan style that gives the space a rising pitched ceiling. The villas are also sensitively set back from the coastline and feature extensive gardens that create a secluded place for sea turtles to lay their eggs.

Exquisite Culinary Delights

Waldorf Astoria brings its legendary culinary experience to Platte Island with six restaurants and bars that blend the best of international and local flavors. Celebrated Executive Head Chef Jane-Therese Mulry offers Creole-Latin fusion dishes, including tapas, oysters, and champagne, as well as deliciously inspired Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. A truly holistic culinary experience, framed by a picturesque sunset view.

Inspired by the iconic Peacock Alley lounge of the brand, the Parisian-inspired Peacock Terrace at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island will offer guests daily delights and a creative drink menu throughout the day, with a wide range of teas, herbal infusions, and pastries.

La Maison Des Epices is the resort’s Creole-Latin culinary destination. The restaurant offers an engaging gastronomic experience, where tradition meets innovation through taste and authenticity. Characterized by live cooking stations and locally sourced products, it offers memorable dishes that emphasize family-style service.

During the day, La Perle restaurant offers guests a health-conscious tailored breakfast, with a selection of hot and cold dishes and expertly crafted single-origin Tanzanian coffee. In the evening, La Perle transforms into a high-end Mediterranean restaurant, with flavors that take guests on a culinary journey from Spain to Turkey.

Evening stars set the backdrop for elegant pre-dinner and sophisticated nightly aperitifs at Lalin. The vibrant venue presents a proposal of artistically crafted cocktails. Embodying the concept of “earth-soul,” Moulin will open later in the year and will offer guests a holistic journey towards mindful eating with fresh ingredients from the island’s garden. The venue will function as a cooking school during the day and transform into a restaurant in the evening. Each dish will be paired with carefully selected drinks to complement and enhance the flavors of each course.

Torti is the resort’s pool and beach bar, known for its customizable “bento box” offerings and fresh sushi. The bar draws guests into a lively musical atmosphere, perfectly harmonized with the relaxing cabanas and sun loungers arranged in the pool.

The resort also offers unique culinary experiences, such as mixology and barista masterclasses, Creole cooking courses
